I have designed this Crew bag out of necessity because both of my children are now working on Superyachts and they need bags that are robust and yet take up no space. We have put a huge amount of work and trialling into this bag. To maximise their luggage capacity I designed this Crew bag to match the normal size for a cabin wheelie suitcase but with no wheels and no hard bits. You can carry it as a back pack, just over one shoulder, or by one end. We all love the ease of a wheelie suitcase but sometimes you just can’t have a hard suitcase. Yachting is one such place. So this really is the next best thing. A small efficiently designed back pack.
Once you get to your destination, the strong but lightweight fabric means the Crew bag can be flattened to almost nothing for easy storage, including under your bunk on a boat.
With every purchase you’ll receive a FREE travel liquids wash bag (excluding when the price of a Crew bag is reduced during sale).
There is a hard base and removable hard sides, however you do not need to remove these to make the bag lie flat. We put them in there to help keep the form of a wheelie suitcase bag. Internally there are about 8 pockets bigger and smaller which ensure you can pack very efficiently and can find everything with great ease.
The Design:-
Externally, there is the main compartment with a 2-way super strength robust and waterproof zip. There is also a full height side pocket with 2-way zipper where you can stash all the things you want to find in a hurry like your passport and charges. And there is a document pocket which (if worn as a back-pack) is located against your body. You can clip the straps on in several places to allow for backpack carrying or over shoulder carrying.
We will make these Crew bags to order using up-cycled and re-purposed state of the art fabric from our big brother company. We do also make the finest protective covers for aircraft in the world. Every superyacht with a helicopter on board has one of our covers… they are that good. This helicopter cover fabric is a strong, waterproof polyester. We do have a choice of Red, Navy, Mist, Charcoal, Graphite or Black. But to start off we will be making them as pictured. We are just exiting the prototype stage and might expand the choice down the line.
